Visit the World Heritage Site in the Salzkammergut Lake District


From Salzburg our route takes us via Gosau (Dachstein view), Russbach and Abtenau directly to Hallstatt.
Because of the extraordinary importance of the beautiful cultural landscape, Hallstatt was declared a World Heritage Site in 1997 by UNESCO.

Let the unique charm of this historic town bewitch you and take the opportunity to visit the famous "Beinhaus" (Charnel House) with the painted skulls.
After a sufficient time, we continue to Bad Ischl which is still shaped by the time it was used as a summer residence by the imperial court under the Emperor Franz Josef.
In the afternoon we move on to St. Wolfgang where we visit the Michael Pache's gothic winged altar.
After this stop we board a boat to St. Gilgen, the birthplace of Mozart's mother.
The return trip to Salzburg is via Fuschl and Hof.
