Bike tour around the Untersberg

This challenging and diverse tour goes around the foot of the Untersberg Mountain both through Bavaria and of course Salzburg territory and includes the historic town of Berchtesgaden on the Bavarian side of the border.  

On the Austrian side the route winds along the city limits of the world renowned city of Mozart, Salzburg. The trail consists of mostly paved side roads and the newly constructed underpass in Bischofswiesen-Winkl saves you from having to ride along the main road.

After Hinterreith you have to take a right turn towards Grodig and master a rather steep ascension before quickly rolling down towards Fürstenbrunn and further on to Grodig.
