The
Untersberg Cable Car (1856 m)
From
the village of St. Leonhard down below, you
can reach the summit of the Untersberg mountain
at 1856 meters via a pleasant cable
car ride. From this vantage point, you'll
enjoy a lovely panorama of the Salzburg basin,
the Berchtesgaden
region and, on clear days, the lakes of this
alpine region, including the Königssee
lake in Bavaria.
Refreshments
are available at the "Hochalm" mountain
restaurant and the Zeppezauer-Haus
with the legendary "Kathi".
