Hardly anything has made Salzburg more famous in the United States of America and the Far East than the Hollywood film "The Sound of Music". We will take you to the places where the story of the Trapp family was filmed.
The original "Sound of Music" tour begins in the Mirabell Gardens, where Maria von Trapp and the children danced around the statue of Pegasus and sang the song "Do re mi". Our next stop is in front of Leopoldskron Castle, which was adopted as the home of the Trapp family.

Nonnberg Abbey
The glass pavilion has been rebuilt in the gardens of Hellbrunn Castle to the delight of all who, after over 35 years, still love visiting the original scenes of this classic film. We bring you past the Nonnberg Convent, where the Baron and Maria married in 1927, to the Fuschlsee Lake. The landscape sequences at the start of the film were filmed here and in St. Gilgen on the Wolfgansee Lake. The beautiful church in Mondsee provided the backdrop for the wedding scenes.
