A short break in Salzburg
Visit Salzburg for three days
This is most easily done with the Hop on - Hop off Bus that has 14 stops in total, each close to the most popular and famous tourist attractions and offers audio commentaries in seven different languages.
If you rather explore the city by foot, we suggest you take a walk through the Mirabell Gardens. The palace's park is a wonderful destination, especially in summer when the flowers are at full bloom.
If you continue your walk over to the other side of the Salzach River, it will lead you directly into the historic city center that was declared a world heritage site in 1997 by UNESCO.
Day two in Salzburg
You could use the second day of your mini-vacation to make a day-trip to the lake district, visit the Ice Caves in Werfen, explore the Salzkammergut or take a tour of a Salt Mine in Hallein or Hallstatt - whatever suits you best.
In the evening you will have time to look at your vacation spot: Grodig.
Day three of your short break in Salzburg
What to do when it starts to rain on your trip to Salzburg? Not to worry, now you have the time to visit some of Salzburg's many museums.
We highly recommend the Salzburg Museum: here you will find out everything there is to know about Salzburg, including many things not even the locals are aware of.print page
